Zhimeng, born in Chang'an, he departed from here at 404 with a large group of monks accompanying visiting Kapilavastu (Jiaoluowei) and Pataliputra (Huashicheng, now Patna), where they seized two relevant texts, the Nirvânasutra (Nihua) and the Mahâsâmghikavinaya, lü Mohesengzhi Chinese. Wrote a book entitled Value of foreign countries (Waiguan zhuan). Huisheng and Songyun monks were sent to 518, from Luoyang to India by Empress Wei Hu of the North, intending to collect Buddhist texts. In the traveling entourage of monks also another pair of some renown, and Daosheng Fali. Expressed their trip in a couple of papers: Review of eleven countries situated west of the Kingdom of Wei (Songyun Weiguo Shiyi guo shi yi xi), by Songyun, and Travel Value Huisheng (Huisheng xingzhuan) of their partner.
