The famous Egyptian palettes used, originally, to grind and mix ingredients for cosmetics or perhaps some medical remedies. However, in all likelihood, they lost this function, becoming the object not only ornamental but also commemorative ceremonies. We show some of the most significant, in that we make some very brief comments, and interpret, in greater depth three in the following entries: Tehenu palette, the Oxford and called del Toro. Images: HUNTER SHOULDER hippos, Geerzense period, Medelhavsmuseet today in Stockholm. The chronology was established between 4000 and 3500 anE PALETTE OF DOGS. Is now in the Louvre Museum. We see the presence of various quadrupeds, perhaps hyenas and giraffes. Phase also corresponds to the Nagada III. PALETTE OF HUNTERS. We note the presence of hunters carrying bows, spears and axes. It symbolizes the victory of the high over Lower Egypt, and the imposition of universal order (maat), on the disorder (ani). Belongs to the Nagada III period.
