Half of businesses have no IT policy of use of cell phones, PDA and PC

Almost half the users of the areas IT companies around the world ensure that there are no IT policies in their areas with the guidelines for the use of cell phones, smartphones, PDAs or PCs. However
80% of IT decision makers ensure that these policies do exist, according to the global report for Cisco Connected World. This contradiction could indicate either that those responsible for IT areas lying or IT policies on the use of mobile devices have not been properly disseminated to staff.
"While this type of mobile devices enter the corporate environment, employees are questioning the IT policy. The environment has created a sense of urgency to use mobile devices and online social media and employees seek to adopt despite the IT policy, "predicted in the report Nasrin Rezai, director of Cisco Security.
With respect to those who do know the IT policy on the subject, three-quarters of them believe they are sufficient or require a minor update.
Another important finding of the report is that in 40% of the sample of employees say they have restricted access to social networking sites and instant messengers. Cisco
surveyed IT decision makers 1.300 and 1.300 end-users in Germany, Australia, Brazil, China, Spain, United States, France, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, UK and Russia.
In another report, Cisco asked employees of companies in different countries, including Mexico, Brazil, China and India, if they feel the need to be physically in the office to work properly, to which 41% of respondents in Mexico replied that they need to go to the office, while 59% said no. Nearly 80% of Brazilians said employees need not go to the office, while this response agreed 81% of Chinese and 91% of Indians. NetMedia
